that last reviewer evidently is talking shit.
I really liked this animation... whether it was hard or not to mke it works perfectly!
Korea most certainly isnt a sucky ountry... ther only way I could possibly forsee him justifying that view is if he was there during the korean war and took some shrapnel to the head... which rotted awayhis mental capacity for respect...
again, I liked this. keep up the good work!
ha! that was ace.... I gave you full marks merely because of the alternate voice acting, which was hilarious! the graphics where good, the scripting was brilliant and Im looking forward to seeing more of your stuff!
wow.... that was acctually pretty morbid at the end... Thats deffinitely a thinker.... and a well created piece of work... well done.
I normaly despise sprite animation, but somewhere within the briliant voice acting, hilarious scripting, solid plotline and overall polish of the show you have managed to pull it off... all I can really say is I WANT MORE!
Something which is often lost in spite animation is voice acting... in games such as final fantasy or chrono trigger it can work well, but I generally want to atch movies where I dont have to keep clicking the [next] button, or try to focus on tiny (and shoddy looking) speech bubbles... Youve avoided this and created a polished piece of work, (so much so that Im acctually writing a review here for the first time in a long while)... you really are worthy of your place in the top 50, I only wish more sprite animators would take a leaf from your book instead of churning out loads of sonic the hedgehog snorefests...
wouldnt you know... I wrote out a frikkin huge review but it all got wiped... goddamned computer... anyway, astounding piece, awesome visuals, music is great, as always... and Im envious as hell of your talents... um,... yeah... I'd love to see more of your work... my only gripe is; when he erases himself the arm motions seem a little jerky... perhaps a slower tween wouldd work... but yeah... insanel beautiful first piece!
I didn't use tweens for most of the anuimation.
I originally had a tween at the end for his arm movements but jerky strong movements fit the idea of destroying oneself more dramatically
Maybe i will catch the rest of your review some other time ^.^
I cut my foot on a broken lightbulb tooday and thought of you.. ^_^
the kind of depraved work Ive come to expect and love from you mr firth... though the sound seems to cut off after the first millisecond so it becomes a gory silent movie... I wonder if anyone else is having this problem... anyway, it looks great so I'll give it a 7 assuming the musicis as fitting as normal...
suicide is painless...
heh, a pretty good tribute to the book (which is fantastic btw)... some good concepts in there (though some people could possibly be offended by the asian vaccation one... meh...), graphicly you stayed pretty true to the original book artwork with the frame by frame stuff... and kudos for that... he style reflected this as well... as for the music? well, it was very well chosen and seemed really suitable for the subject matter. quite violent and funny too... well done on a reasonable piece of flash ^_^
Hey thanks! I'm glad you liked it, and I'm psyched that people that read the book like my flash! :)
ha HA! GREA STORYLINE AS SHORTS GO... i LIKED IT A LOT, THOUGH THE WAILING GOT a little annoying (much like leaving a caps on...)
horrible... but irresistable.
as always your work is insane! I personally prefer this to the "part 1", and the beetles are much more morbid! as much as you probably hate requests by now (or whatever) this looks like a series worth invesdting more time into!
and you need to get in contact with channel 4 for a TV series! if they havent approached you already that is!
hmm, not bad!
I can't say I got it all there (the bugs?) but the voice overs where hilarious... so, average score... work on the length i future animations please! youve got some promise there...
